Fixer Hardener
What hardener in the fixer for printing of salt?

Connect the only one I have now has hardening of the information and I to do some impressions of salt. I said no, but nobody seems to know what to do. I know that with the hardener in turn, remove the picture …. The same applies to the impressions salt? If you are going to disappear in a year, not great, but if you go away within a week it is. Thank you very much!

This is a very good question. I looked at dozens of Google sites and the best that can come with hardener is that it is printed in white over time or removed from the emulsion of the paper. Curling can also cause. I think it is worth some $ to obtain a remedy does not harden. Kodak Fixer is an A / B fixer, where B is the hardener. Do not put them in and viola! Hide hardening. Ilford also a non-solution hardening. They are relatively cheap (get the correction fluid.) If I spent the time and trouble to make copies of salt (I did not because there are plenty time and effort) that I would not fade, even in a year. This is their work, are proud of him. Can Fixer: Kodak M-24 Nonhardening September acid —> Water (125F/52C) 500.0 ml thiosulfate 240.0 grams of sodium, 10.0 grams sodium sulfite sodium bisulfite 25.0 g water to 1.0 liters, but would be cheaper for buy the material mixed and diluted as directed. Be sure to wash the prints and use of all set hypoclear Out. This will cause staining over time.
